dia-LOGOS: Global and Local Impact 2025

As the ministry leader at dia‑LOGOS, I want to begin by expressing heartfelt thanks to our donors, prayer partners, congregations, various organizations, and friends of dia‑LOGOS who have stood with us throughout this year. I recognize the vital importance of collaboration—both at the individual and organizational level—and the fruit it bears when we work together in unity.

I also have the privilege of serving alongside a team of dedicated people both locally and abroad. Without the guidance of the Lord, the collective wisdom of this team, and the enthusiasm, love, and generosity—both moral and financial—of our supporters, none of our endeavors would be possible.

At dia‑LOGOS, 2025 has been defined by presence, partnership, and practical solidarity across regions marked by conflict and hardship. In Israel and Gaza, we delivered R200,000 (USD 11,787) to Project Hope Gaza, stood alongside the remnant Christian community, and brought joy to children who had not celebrated Christmas in years.

Through Project Greener Pastures—which exists to give families from conflict zones and places of severe persecution a time to breathe by surrounding them with hospitality and the beauty of South Africa—we were able to accommodate individuals from Israel/Gaza as well as Lebanon/Syria, equalling R90,200 (USD5,316).

In Lebanon and Syria, we further channelled R771,007 (USD45,440) directly into ministry projects. All of these efforts were undertaken for field ministry purposes, and we affirm that any funds designated for a project are applied in full to that project—none is diverted to administrative overheads.

This brings our total direct field ministry expenditure for the year to R1,061,207 (USD 62,554). For a more detailed explanation, please refer to the sections outlined below

Beyond the Middle East, our footprint expanded with the establishment of a regional office for East Africa in Tanzania under the leadership of Aron Mwasile—a true African visionary whose “business as mission” model sustains outreach while creating local jobs.

In line with our mandate to provide a balanced Christian perspective on world events, dia‑LOGOS has published 41 articles during 2025 and engaged directly with believers through more than 100 church services, prayer gatherings, and mission consultation meetings. These platforms have allowed us to share insight, encourage dialogue, and strengthen the Body of Christ across diverse contexts.

Locally, we continued to care for widows, orphans, and vulnerable families through housing, clothing, education, and gifts of encouragement—expressions of love beyond monetary value.

Stories like Hayat in Syria receiving her long‑dreamed‑of wheelchair and Jana in Lebanon receiving ongoing treatment remind us that generosity changes lives.

Alongside these, new publications such as ''The Tax Collector’s Table'' and ''A Mission in Motion'' have deepened theological reflection and storytelling.

Through your partnership, our reach has grown, our impact has multiplied, and the Kingdom’s call to redemption has been embodied in tangible ways.

As ministry leader at dia‑LOGOS, I remain deeply humbled by the faithfulness of God and the steadfast support of each one of you. Your prayers, encouragement, and generosity have carried us into places of hardship and hope, allowing us to stand as witnesses of Christ’s love. It is my joy to serve alongside such a devoted team and such faithful partners.

Research Visit

November 2025

Our recent visit served a dual purpose: first, to personally deliver the R 200 000 raised for Project Hope Gaza, ensuring they reach those most in need; and second, to conduct a field-based assessment of the Church’s welfare in both Gaza and the West Bank.

Partnering with Jerusalem Evangelistic Outreach, we engaged directly with Gaza’s remnant Christian community of approximately 600 devoted believers—bringing encouragement, listening closely, and witnessing firsthand the spiritual and physical challenges they face. This mission reaffirmed our commitment to stand with the suffering Body of Christ, not only through financial support but through presence, prayer, and practical solidarity.

Practical Ministry

We devoted time to practical ministry in the region, delivering food parcels to families in greatest need and bringing joy to children who had not experienced Christmas for more than two years. Thanks to the generosity of Christians in South Africa, we were able to bless them with abundant gifts—ranging from inflatable balls and teddy bears to other thoughtful, practical items—reminders of God’s love expressed through tangible care..

Project Greener Pastures

Project Greener Pastures exists to give families from conflict zones and places of severe persecution a time to breathe. By bringing them to South Africa, we surround them with hospitality and the beauty of our country—offering rest, renewal, and a fresh perspective on their calling where God has placed them.

We welcomed a precious family, who have lived through the harsh realities of the Israel–Gaza war and, more recently, the June Israel–Iran conflict. Their ministry has placed them directly among the suffering, leaving them deeply exposed to prolonged stress. While in South Africa, they accepted a few selected speaking engagements to share a neutral, balanced perspective on the region. Yet the primary purpose of their visit was restoration—time to recover, regain strength, and return with renewed energy for the work God has entrusted to them. We also had the privilege to host a Syrian leadership couple as part of this project.

Lebanon / Syria

Koinonia/Syria and Lebanon

Koinonia 2025 gave us the opportunity to encourage and minister to church leaders and workers from Syria and Lebanon. In these nations, His church stands as a pillar of peace and hope amid hostility and persecution. Through shared fellowship, prayer, and presence, our team experienced a humbling privilege — a Kingdom encounter where the Spirit moved and leaders were encouraged to continue with new fervor in their ministries.

Although it was not possible to enter Syria during this various leaders from the country were able to Zoom with the team and were greatly encouraged by the fellowship.

Pastors and leaders Prayer Breakfast Beirut

The Pastors and Leaders Prayer Breakfast in Beirut was a rich and rewarding experience. Through a network of trusted friends and relationships, we were able to gather a wonderfully diverse group of leaders from across the body of Christ in Lebanon. Witnessing the warmth, personal interaction, and mutual acceptance in the room was deeply moving — a glimpse of unity in action.

October 2025

The team was able to visit Syria for the first time since Bashar al‑Assad was ousted and Mohammad al‑Julani of Hay’at Tahrir al‑Sham (HTS) rose to power. This visit was both strategic and essential, allowing us to meet and fellowship with pastors and leaders, hear firsthand about their current situation, and bless them with much‑needed funds for various projects in Syria. They also spent time in the Beqaa Valley with the leadership of Nexus center and various other ministries serving the region.

New Book Release

Mike Burnard our Analytical Strategist at dia-LOGOS recently published ''The Tax Collector’s Table,'' a book that traces Levi’s transformation from despised tax collector to beloved disciple—an arc of undeserved, outrageous, and divine grace. Rooted in Gospel accounts, the book invites readers to sit where Jesus sat: among the excluded, the broken, and the misunderstood. It challenges the Church to reimagine hospitality and holiness, framing the table as a sacred space of reconciliation and radical inclusion. More than a narrative, it’s a call to repentance and restoration—a prophetic yet pastoral invitation to rebuild the Church as a place where sinners eat, saints serve, and Christ remains the host. But this time, He showed me something deeper. He reminded me that no theology, no matter how well-constructed, can ever contain the fullness of who He is. God reveals Himself in places I never expected to find Him, in the laughter of a refugee child, in the eyes of a Muslim friend, in the candlelight of a tent during a storm. When a refugee family welcomes me, a Christian missionary, into their home on a rainy night, I realize that I did not bring Jesus there. Project Hope Hayat

Hayat is a disabled Syrian girl who Dia-LOGOS has supported with physiotherapy sessions, transportation to and from school and medical costs while her family was still in Lebanon. At the beginning of the year, the family moved back to a rural village in Syria and we could no longer support her on a permanent basis. Dia-LOGOS did however made one of the family's wishes come true in October of 2025 when we Bought her an electric wheelchair, something they have been dreaming of for years. The wheelchair cost $500.

Project Hope Jana

Jana is a young girl with a blood disorder (Thalacemia). She needs treatment every two weeks and Dia-LOGOS has been covering her costs since August 2025. Since then until the end of December, Dia-LOGOS has contributed R18 000 towards Jana’s treatments.

Project Hope - Food Packages

During the war in 2024, there were many families displaced and Dia-LOGOS was involved in funding food packages to those families.

Book: A Mission in Motion

Jacobus released his second book in December, A Mission in Motion, capturing new challenges, deeper reflections, and powerful moments where faith and reality met. This work carries greater movement—both physical and spiritual—woven with reflection and enriched by color photographs that reveal the faces and places behind the stories. It is a project close to his heart, inviting readers to journey with him and the remarkable people who have shaped it..

East Africa Office

Aron Mwasile is a missionary and entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience across Africa. To sustain his calling, he founded Farm43 Africa—a growing venture in pig farming and feed production that funds mission work and creates local jobs. His “business as mission” model empowers communities while advancing sustainable, African-led outreach.

Visit to Nico and Vicky van Wyk Malawi

Nico and Vicky van Wyk serve full‑time in Malawi’s Dzaleka Refugee Camp. Married for 33 years, their mission journey began in 2016 with rural outreach that stirred a call to Africa’s vulnerable communities. Since 2019 they have ministered across Malawi, focusing today on discipleship, art ministry, community upliftment, and support for a small school. The dia‑LOGOS team visited them twice: Jacobus assisted with ministry material as videographer, while Abrie and Stefan joined a field visit to encourage them and witness their work. Through practical and creative service, Nico and Vicky walk alongside the displaced and share God’s love in tangible ways.
